Margo, it's been pretty hot here in Arizona, too. Last night I served my hubby a big slice of watermelon. Later, he asked if I was making supper. I went back to the kitchen and brought out bowls of ice cream. He asked, "Is this IT?" I said, "Yup." He tried asking once more for supper, and I brought him a lime popsicle. Guess who's going out for dinner tonight?!!!!! ............................................................................. Here's a good ground-beef standby, though. Fry up a pound of ground beef with an onion. Add garlic and bell pepper if desired. Drain off grease. Season with salt, pepper, and chili powder seasoning. Add a medium-size can of pork 'n beans. Serve with cornbread. |
