There is software called Mastercook. You input the recipes in specific format (that you learn) and create cookbooks of your own. You can also "import" and "export" the recipes (there is a specific format for this too). This way you don't have clippings all over the house. I got mine a few months ago and have not really learned it that well yet. But it looks really good, once you get the hang of it. My goal with it is to input all the clippings I have (that includes 3 binders of recipes and about 30 folders with recipe clippings)plus all my favorite recipes from 7 years of Bon Appetit and a year or so of Gourmet.

There are other types of software out there that are similar and maybe easier to use - Meal Master and some others. You just have to find the type that is right for you.

When I didn't have Mastercook, I took mini disks and I put all the recipes on those - all in order of subject - I made different little files and filed away all the recipes that way. You could do that too. I have 6 disks filled with recipes (from books, magazines, the net).

I hope this helps.

11 And if you put them in plastic page protectors, you don't have to punch holes. The protectors are already punched. N.T.
