I'd forgotten about this idea; we used it for our wedding rehearsal dinner.
We went to Baskin-Robbins and filled the punchbowl with scoops of all kinds of ice cream! It was more fun to serve it that way, than people dishing their own ice cream from cartons. We froze the punchbowl with ice cream balls in it, and then had the different sauces (chocolate, strawberry, caramel, pineapple, etc.) in pretty crystal pouring pitchers, with sprinkles and nuts on the side.
It was a real hit with the guests, and we had none of it left over! |
