As I am a family of one, I often prepare a frozen single-serve pizza for my dinner, and always had it with a tossed salad. I prefer the cheese-only pizza and one night ate it with parts of the tossed salad on top. Now I always prepare thinly sliced onion, green pepper, mushrooms, artichokes etc. marinated for 15 minutes in italian dressing, and piled on top of sliced pizza AFTER it is baked. To my taste, it is better than the vegs cooked on the pizza. Wierd, but good!
