I make a gallon a day year round, and make a 5 gallon container full when I have company.

I use my regular Bunn drip coffee maker. I rinse it good, it doesn't have a coffee taste. I use a filter and buy the Lipton only brand loose leaf tea. Add a slightly overfilled 1/3 cup of tea in your filter.

Have a 1 gallon plastic container ready with 1 1/3 cups of sugar. Yes, 1 1/3 cups per 1 gallon, makes it so good!
I pour 3 pots of water over my tea, adding them to the sugar in the pitcher, stir and refrigerate. I like to make this in the morning or the day before, it makes a world of difference in flavors marrying, and it is good and cold. You can do the same thing without the sugar.

For big gatherings, I do each gallon as directed above, I pour each gallon into a large 5 gallon dispenser, they sell them at Costco, and I have a plastic milk jug frozen with water for my ice cube. It floats, and doesn't weaken the tea taste. It is also nice because your tea can
be made the day before and not take up room in the refrigerator. With the milk jug ice floating, it will not spoil. I do this with my punch, too. Hope this helps, sorry about being so long winded!

I still always fill my glasses completely full with ice. I am from Oklahoma, and that is just the way we do it! ha

You can serve lemon on the side if some of your guests like it.
