This recipe was corrected from a previous posting to include 1/2 cup mayonnaise:
Crab Casserole
1# crab 1 can Campbell's Cream of shrimp soup (Do NOT substitute) 1 lg can evaporated milk 1/2 mayonnaise 8 oz. swiss cheese - shredded 1 can French's F.F. onions 3/4 bag thinnest noodles - UNCOOKED or broken spaghetti
Combine all but F.F. onion rings and 1/2 of cheese. Bake covered for 20 - 25 minutes at 350F. Uncover and top with remaining cheese and F.F. onion rings and bake uncovered 5 (or so) minutes more until cheese is browned.
I sometimes substitute shrimp for 1/2 of the crab.
Molded Seafood Salad
1 can shredded crabmeat 1 can tuna in water or salmon or lobster 1 can tiny shrimp
(2 cups seafood -- any mixture)
2 hardcooked eggs - chopped 1/2 c. olives -- chopped 2T capers 1T minced parsley 3T minced onion 3T minced celery 1 1/2 env. Knox gelatine 1/4 + 1/8 c. cold water 2 c. mayo
Sften gelatine in the cold water - heat to melt - add to mayo and MIX WELL. Mix other ingredients and add to mayo. Pour into mold greased with mayo and chill 6 hours or overnight. Serves 8 as main course with garnish or 12 as salad.
