Best Blonde Brownies
1 pound dark brown sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted 3 large eggs -- beaten 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 12 ounces chocolate chips (optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine sugar and butter in bowl. Stir well. Add the eggs, and stir well again. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, and stir well to combine. Stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured 13x9-inch baking pan, and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Let cool, and cut into bars. O-o-o-o-o-h, these are good.

2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 cups dark brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup chopped pecans
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir until mixed well. Stir in dry ingredients and add pecans. Spread in greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not overbake.
