Hot Maple Syrup: Combine 1 cup light corn syrup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup water; cook, stirring till sugar dissolves. Add few drops maple flavoring and 1 TB butter or margarine. Serve hot....from BH&G Cookbook..1959.
I always make this when my syrup runs low or I get caught without. It is thin but very good. |
