OK, Jeanne, you're starting to give jimS and Page competition in making me laugh outloud!!

One of the stores here makes their own bread/rolls etc. in the store bakery. If they don't sell by the outdate, they tear them up into chunks and bag them into large plastic bags (I'm assuming for the birds) Vulture that I am, I buy these up by the bag full when I see them, bring them home, run them through the food processor, and pack them into smaller ZipLock freezer bags. Keep them in the freezer to use as needed.

We clam all summer on Cape Cod, and when I make stuffed clams, I use these crumbs, not the store kind, add my own spices/herbs. They make an incredibly light, fluffy stuffed clam. Not the hockey-puck variety that happen when yhou use the store bought bread crumbs.

So watch out for day old bread sales, etc. I don't dry them, because I happen to like the texture of the soft fresh crumbs better.
