Hi Sue, Here are a few chocolate frosting recipes. Hope they help you out. CHOCOLATE FROSTING 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. butter 1 box (1 lb.) 10x sugar Put chocolate, milk and butter in a 2 quart bowl. Microwave on Medium 4 to 5 minutes, stir to blend well. Continue to cook on Medium 1 to 2 minutes longer until mixture is thick, it will look grainy. Stir in confectioners sugar, let stand 3 to 5 minutes. Beat with electric mixer 1 to 3 minutes until smooth and spreading consistency, adding a few drops of milk if necessary. Makes enough to fill and frost two 9-inch layers. NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE FROSTING 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. Karo 3 Tbsp. cocoa 1 stick margarine Melt margarine on low heat. Add sugar and cocoa mix- ture. Add milk and Karo and boil rapidly for 1 minute. Beat until it is the right consistency for spreading. CREAMY CHOCOLATE FROSTING (September 4) 1 pkg. (4 oz.) jello chocolate instant pudding 1 c. cold milk 1 container (8 oz.) Cool Whip Combine pudding mix and milk in small bowl. Beat slowly with rotary beater or at lowest speed of electric mixer until well blended, about 1 minute. Fold in whipped cream topping. Makes about 4 cups or enough for two 9-inch layers. Store frosted cake in the refrigerator. CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING 1/3 c. oleo 2/3 c. cocoa 2 2/3 c. powdered sugar 1/3 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Melt oleo over medium fire. Add cocoa and cook until mixture just boils, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, pour in bowl. Cool. Add powdered sugar and milk and vanilla. Mix well. Makes 2 cups.
