Raisin Filled Cookies
Dough:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
3 1/2 cups flour
pinch of salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Filling:
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. flour
Mix dough, roll out and cut into circles
with cutter. Cook filling and place about a
tsp. or so on circle cut out. Top with
another circle of dough. Pinch seal edges
and bake.
Bake at 350 degrees and until lightly browned.
