Dissolve 1 package yeast in 2/3 cup very warm water. Stir in two tablespoons shortening, 2 1/2 cups biscuit mix. Beat vigorously. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead until smooth, about 20 punches. Shape as desired into crescents or rolls. On oiled sheet, cover with damp cloth and let rise in warm place about 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degree for 10 or 15 minutes. Makes 10 rolls. |
