Soft Fried Tacos
3/4 c. warm water
2 T. sugar
2 T. shortening
1 pkg. yeast
3 c. flour
1 egg
Dissolve yeast in warm water with sugar. Add shortening, egg and 1 c. flour. Mix well and add remaining 2 c. flour. Place in a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour. Punch down and roll out and cut into circles using a cereal bowl as a guide. Place a couple of tablespoons of prepared and cooled taco meat on the circle and seal edges. Deep fry until golden brown. Open shell and add your favorite fixins'.
