Copycat recipe for Marie Callender's Cornbread (a restaurant) here in So. California)
1 (9 oz.) box Jiffy Corn Bread Mix 1 (9 oz.) box Yellow Cake mix
Mix each box according to package directions and then gently fold the batters together. Bake according to the directions on the Cake mix Box.
Also they have a Honey Butter that goes great with the Corn Bread.
Honey Butter
1/4 pound BUTTER 1/4 cup strained bacon drippings 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled 2/3 cup honey
Beat butter until light and creamy. Add drippings and bacon. Beat in honey until light and fluffy (until it "almost floats out of the bowl") Can be frozen up to one year.
