There's a cookbook called SQUARE MEALS by Jane and Michael Stern that is a compilation of different eras of American life. It has a '70's section. Some of the other sections are: diner food, army food, ladies lunches and nursery food. It was published in 1984 and I couldnt find an ISBN number, but it was published by alfred A. Knopf. Here are a couple of recipes from it: Ann Lander's Meat Loaf 1 # ground beef 1 1/2 cups cracker crumbs 1/2 # ground veal 3/4 cup ketchup 1/2 # ground pork 1/2 cup warm water 1 tsp. Add W. sauce, eggs, crumbs, ketchup, water, and soup mix. Shape into a loaf in a shallow baking dish, drape with bacon strips, then pour tomato sauce over loaf.
