English Apple Pie

Combine and place in buttered pie or baking dish:
4 apples, sliced (6 c.)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream together:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar

Add to butter mixture and mix well:
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons water

Spread dough over apples. Bake at 375F degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
