Fruitcake Cookies
1/2 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 2 eggs 1/4 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon allspice 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour 1 cup chopped red candied cherries 1 cup chopped green candied cherries 1 cup chopped candied pineapple 1 cup chopped dates 1 cup raisins 3 cups coarsely chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, and spices. Gradually add flour. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheets for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Yield: about 7 dozen.
