My mom got this recipe from a newspaper probably 35 years ago.

1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 sleeve of saltine crackers or Ritz-type crackers, finely crumbled
8 oz. container of frozen non-dairy cream topping (such as Cool Whip)

Stir the cranberry sauce into the cracker crumbs, and gently fold in the cream topping until no more white strands show. That's all there is to it -- however, it tastes faintly like a chocolate mousse. NO ONE will be able to guess what's in it (unless they read this post!) My hubby's gotten quite a few $5 bills from betting folks couldn't guess the ingredients . . . !
