Richmond Chocolate Frosting
1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 (1 oz.) sq. chocolate, grated or pre-melted envelope Dash of salt 1/2 c. boiling water 1 1/2 tbsp. butter or margarine 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix sugar and cornstarch; add chocolate, salt and water. Cook until thick. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla; mix. Spread while hot for glossy frosting. Double for angel, 13x9 or 2 layer cake.
Can be cooked in the microwave - watch closely and stir often.
