WHEAT GERM COOKIES 1 pkg yellow cake mix 1 large egg 3 Tbsp. brown sugar 1/4 cup canola oil 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted 1/2 cup wheat germ 2 Tbsp. water 1/2 cup chopped nuts Preheat oven to 375* Combine dry cake mix, egg, brown sugar, oil, butter, wheat germ and water in bowl. Mix with spoon (dough will be stiff) Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon, 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 10 mins. for chewy cookies, 12 mins. for crispy cookies. Cool 1 minute on sheets, then remove to rack to finish cooking. About 3 dozen.
