My mom's recipe never called for sweetened condensed milk nor were they baked,
but I was reminded of these cookies when I read your post. I hope they're
at least close. Maybe you'll like these too!

Mom's Cornflake Cookies

1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup white Karo syrup (corn syrup)
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup corn flakes

In a saucepan, combine the sugar and Karo.
Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
When mixture comes to a full boil, remove from heat immediately.
Stir in peanut butter and mix thoroughly.
Add 1 cup of corn flakes (or any other dry cereal such as raisin bran, total
etc.)
Drop by teaspoon-fulls onto a cookie sheet or dish and let cool.
