Here is a recipe for a Spanish Coffeecake that's easy & very good.
SPANISH COFFEECAKE
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
In bowl mix together: 2 1/2 C. flour (sift first) 3/4 C. sugar 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 C. brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 C. Wesson Oil
Reserve 1-1 1/2 C. of this mixture.
Add to remaining mixture: 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 egg 1 C. buttermilk, 1/2 at a time - beat 2 minutes after each addition.
Pour batter into greased & floured 13x9" pan. Take the reserved mixture & add 1/2 C. chopped nuts. Sprinkle on top of batter.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 deg.
