I don't know about Denny's but this is a very easy, almost mess free recipe that's sure to please. I actually got it from TKL a few weeks ago. The original recipe looked great, but I did not have some of the stuff necessary. the recipe that follows is the one that evolved and It was so good my family wants it every week now!!
3lb. Chuck or Pot roast 2 tablespoons margarine Rub roast with a little flour mixed with Montreal Steak Grilling Seasoning (can be found with the seasonings at the grocery store-I had a hard time finding it!!) Brown on all sides in pan with butter.
2 small onions chopped 4 carrots chopped penny style (I found some already chopped at Kroger near the salads) 4 jars (8 oz each) Heinz brown gravy 8 to 10 potatoes peeled and chopped 1 reynolds large oven bags(for cooking hams, turkeys ect...)
After browning roast on all sides, put into bag top with carrots, onions, and potatoes, pour gravy over top. Bake at 325* for 2 hours or until done.
This will probably work in a crock pot as well, just adjust veggies and liquid to accomadate your pot.
I hope this is what you are looking for
