1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into bite-sized slices 1 medium onion, thinly sliced 1 apple, cored, peeled & thinly sliced 2 Tb. vegetable oil or butter 1 lb. pkg. of hash browns, cooked per package directions
Saute the onions in the vegetable oil until tender. Add the apples and sausage and cook until tender, stirring frequently. Drain any fat.
Pack the prepared hash browns in a greased pie tin and bake at 375° for 10 min. Pile in the remaining ingredients and reduce heat to 350°. Cover and bake 10 min. Remove cover and bake an additional 5 min.
