Hello Brenda,
We love soft sugar cookies so I have a few recipes to share (I'll post them in seperate messages. The first is a favorite family recipe of ours:
Aunt Bert's Sour Cream Cookies ------------------------------
Beat together until fluffy:
4 eggs 2 cups sugar
Beat in:
1 cup sour cream 1 cup melted butter (no, these aren't low fat!) 1 tsp vanilla
Sift together:
4 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp nutmeg
1. Preheat oven to 375F. 2. Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture being careful not to overmix or beat. 3. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto greased baking sheets. Sprinkle with some cinnamon-sugar or press raisins, walnut halves, or candied cherries on the tops. 4. Bake at (375F) for 8-10 minutes (time will vary with size) until golden on bottom and top springs back when touched. Don't overbake. Cool on racks. 5. To store, separate with layers of wax paper or plastic wrap.
I hope you enjoy them!
From my kitchen to yours,
Betsy TKL
