These cookies are quick-to-mix. Measure an extra batch of just the dry ingredients into a zipper-lock bag as you're making these and you'll have a quick cookie mix on hand. - Betsy
Lemon Tea Cookies (one-bowl, cake-like)
2 cups sour cream 2 1/4 cups flour 1 1/3 cups sugar 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice granulated sugar for topping
Stir together all ingredients (except topping) until well combined. Drop by tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets. Sprinkle each cookie granulated sugar. Bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
