Hi, I have been trying to store garlic for years and the most successful method is to peel the garlic, chop (with bamix or blender) and then freeze them in ice cube trays. Also when I have large quantities, I pull out a piece of glad wrap and put about 1/2 cup on wrap, roll into log, roll up in glad wrap and freeze in freezer. When you want to use it, just chop a piece off the end and place back in the freezer, seems to last about six months (we use it so much it doesn't stay in the freezer for much longer than that).
