Polish Easter Bread
2 yeast pkgs 1/2 cup warm water 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 4 tsp salt 2 cups hot milk 1/2 cup cool water 4 eggs raisins 9 cups flour
1)Soften yeast pkgs in warm water. 2)Put sugar, shortening, salt, and milk in bowl 3)stir to melt shortening 4)add cool water 5)stir in eggs (beaten), yeast mxiture and raisins 6)add gradually 9 cups of flour 7)knead on floured surface until smooth 8)let rise in a warm place(bowl)until tight and double in size 9)Punch dough down, fold edge toward center 10)turn upside down in bowl and cover 11)let rise, divide in 2 to 4 parts 12)let rise again 13)Bake 375 for 35-40 mins
