At our family gatherings I am always requested to make the stuffing..Here is the recipe handed down for 3 generations. Make Cornbread enough to cook in a 9 inch cake pan or pan equivlant..I use Selfriseing Corn mean and mix with l egg, 3 tab cooking oil, and buttermilk. The batter should look like cake batter. Bake until cornbread is brown.. Crumble in large bowl.. Crumble about 5 hamburger buns on top of the cornbread. Add chopped fresh onion about 2 cups Add chopped Celery about 2 cups,Ground Sage to taste Season with Black Pepper and Parsley flakes You can either use canned chicken broth or I like to boil fresh chicken and use the broth to pour over the mixture and with a potato masher mash and mix until large lumps have disappeared. Add about 4 eggs and mix very well. Bake in over at 450 degrees until the dressing is set and slightly brown ontop. If you like more onion use to taste. Yes this can be tasted before baked Add your sage to taste before baking.
