I too, have been looking for something I ate years ago while camping on Victoria Island. It was sold under the name Captain's Biscuits or Captain's Bread. It was made by McCormick's, I think. They may actually be defunct, now. They had a plant in Winnipeg, I believe, but I have never found them in a store here. I actually bought some in an IGA in Yellowknife back in about 88. I haven't seen it since. It is a round, hard biscuit not unlike a soda cracker but about 4 inches in diameter and three-quarters of an inch thick. Keeps forever, indestructible and light to pack, and a life-saver when you need a bite and you're cold. Love them with peanut butter or jam. Hope this helps your search. I'd sure like to find them again myself. I know they have to be out there somewhere. Being able to find a recipe would be wonderful. Best of luck.
