Chicken Broccoli Casserole
1 pkg of pre-cooked chicken 1-10 oz. pkg frozen broccoli 2 cans of cheese soup (undiluted) 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) 1 tube of garlic cheese (Kraft) 2 Tbps. red pepper or to taste 1 tsp. black pepper or to taste 1/2 cup of jar or canned mushrooms (optional) 1 large can of french fried onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Heat soups in saucepan and cut up cheese into chunks. Add cheese chunks to soup. Add red pepper and black pepper. If you add lots of red pepper it makes it really good and spicy. Heat until the cheese has melted. Add chicken to mixture until bubbling. Remove pan from heat. Spread frozen broccoli into the bottom of a 13 X 9 inch glass dish. Sprinkle mushrooms over the broccoli. (use more or less depending on your tastes) Pour the soup/cheese/chicken mixture over the top and spread evenly over the broccoli/mushrooms. Heat covered for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle french fried onions on the top and heat uncovered for 10 more minutes. Servings 4-6.
This is really filling and can be eaten alone or with rice, bread, or noodles.
