COOKING BEEF ROUND
Place your beef round steak in a clear oven-proof cooking bag. Place the bag in an oven-proof dish. (You will not need a lid for this dish).
Pour at least one CAN of French Onion Soup into the bag. I usually use two or three cans because I also include quartered small potatoes, baby carrots, and chopped bok choy (or celery pieces) in the bag with the roast.
Close the cooking bag per the instructions on the box.
Bake in the oven at 350 degreen for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. The roast will become more tender the longer it cooks.
This can also be done on top of the stove if you have a heavy-duty cooking pan with high sides and a lid. If cooked on top of the stove, check the roast periodically to make sure it does not cook dry. Add water or broth if needed.
