The amounts are approximations, I've never really measured. Also good with buffalo meat.

1/2 lb. each: pinto beans, red kidney beans, and red beans (dried)...soaked overnight in water.
2-3 onions, chopped
2 large cans chili beans
chili powder to taste
2 lbs. ground beef
salt, pepper, garlic powder
1 large can tomatoes (chopped, whole whatever)
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded chopped
pinch sugar

cook soaked dried beans until almost done, with 1 onion and chili powder. Cook ground beef with remaining onions, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Drain. Mix with drained cooked beans, plus about half the cooking liquid. Add in jalapeno and chili beans in the liquid (do not drain). Add sugar and undrained tomatoes. Bake in 350 degree oven in roaster for 3 to 4 hours until beans are done and flavors meld. Season with chili powder if needed (or use cayenne for spicier).
