OLD FASHIONED RICE PUDDING
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine 2 c. milk, scalded 3 eggs 2/3 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. cooked rice 2/3 c. raisins 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Grease crock-pot with butter or margarine. Beat milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer. Stir in rice and raisins. Pour into crock-pot. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Cover and cook on high 30 minutes. Stir well and reduce heat to low. Cook 2 to 3 hours. Serves 4 to 6.
RICE PUDDING
2 1/2 c. cooked rice 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk 2/3 c. white or brown sugar 3 Tbsp. soft butter 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 to 1 c. raisins
Grease crock-pot. Put all ingredients in crock-pot. Stir, cover and cook on high for 1 to 2 hours or on low for 4 to 6 hours. Stir during first 30 minutes.CROCK-POT RICE PUDDING
1/2 c. cooked rice 1 pt. half and half 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. nutmeg
Cook rice. Grease sides of crock-pot with butter. Scald half and half. Beat scalded half and half with sugar and eggs. Mix with rice in crock-pot. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Cook on high 1/2 hour. Stir. Cook on low 2 to 3 more hours.
