Hi Grannieq! Here's a recipe for you to try:
Broccoli & Cheese Soup 2 TBSP chopped onion 2 TBSP margarine 3 TBSP flour 1/8 tsp pepper 2 cups milk 1 cup shredded American or Velveeta cheese 1 chicken bouillon cube 1 1/2 cup water 10 ounce package frozen chopped broccoli
In large saucepan, cook onion in margarine until tender. Stir in flour & pepper until well blended. Add milk all at once. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Add cheese & stir until melted. Remove from heat. In medium saucepan, dissolve buillon cube in water. Bring to a boil, add broccoli & cook according to package directions. Do not drain; cool. Place small amounts in blender to chop fine ( I usually skip this part & just leave the pieces as they are). Then add to cheese mixture. Stir until well blended.
Makes 5 (1 cup) servings.
