CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST
1 (4 oz.) jar dried beef 4 Tbsp. butter 3 Tbsp. flour 2 c. half and half pepper and salt to taste minced parsley (optional)
Rinse beef under running water; drain and snip into small pieces. Heat butter in skillet; add the beef. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir longer. Stir in half and half; cook until sauce is thickened. Season with salt and pepper. If desired, sprinkle with pars- ley. Serve over crisp toast or biscuits.
