At my parents' local Italian bakery they sell a fantastic cookie that I would love to make myself. They are called "Brutti ma Belli" (Ugly yet Beautiful) and are meringue-y with nuts inside (some are chocolate flavored, but most are not). They are indded rather lumpy looking and somewhat unattractive, but in fact they are phenomenal. My attempts to find it on line have been unsuccessful. I hope someone here will know how to track them down. Thanks!
