Here's one that comes from my Christmas collection, but you can easily use it for any purpose. I can't remember whether or not I've tried these specifically, but they're from a good source, Canadian Living Christmas. Hope this helps!

Cinnamon Christmas Tree Ornaments

1/2 C Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 C ground Cinnamon
plastic bag
cookie cutters
plastic straw / skewer
ribbon

In sturdy plastic bag, combine applesauce and cinnamon; seal well. Knead until the consistency of cookie dough. If too crumbly, knead in more applesauce, 1 teaspoon at a time.
Roll out dough until 3mm thickness, then cut out shapes. Using a straw, make holes in the top for ribbon.
Place on paper towel-lined baking sheets and let dry 24-48 hrs until completely hardened, turning several times.
Decorate as desired. (Ornaments can be stored in an airtight container and reused. Place an open packet of cinnamon into container to enhance the scent 2wks before hanging).
