Deluxe Pecan Pie
This is a variation of the dessert made famous by Southern-grown, thin-shelled pecans. Serve it sliced thin, topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
1 Stick or 1/2 packet of our pie crust mix 2 tbsp. chopped nuts 3 eggs 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter, melted 1/2 cup dark corn syrup 1/2 cup whipping cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 cup brandy 1 cup pecan halves
Heat oven to 375. Prepare pastry for 9-inch One-crust Pie as directed on package except-stir in chopped nuts before adding water. In small bowl, beat eggs, sugar, salt, butter, syrup and cream. Stir in vanilla, brandy and pecans. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until filling is set and pastry is a golden brown. Cool. 10 to 12 servings.
