Nancy, this glitter is supposedly edible but I have never used it on anything as big as a cake so use your own judgement. It certainly works for children making crafts, etc. I wonder how salty it would taste on a cake.

1/2 cup table salt
4-5 drops food coloring
Mix the two together and put on high in microwave for 4 minutes, stirring once. Spread on foil lined pan to dry. Spread thinly. Store in a tightly closed container.
