My daughter never ate jarred baby food at all. I took bags of frozen vegetables, steamed them, then pureed them in the food processor. I froze the puree in ice cube trays. I just took out a couple of cubes when she needed to be fed. As she got older, I made little meals. I pureed things like tomato soup, macaroni, and ground beef together. I took my ideas off the labels of the jarred baby food. Also, if it was bland enough, I pureed whatever we were eating and fed it to her.
