BUTTER CHESS PIE
1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 cups sugar 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal 5 eggs -- well beaten 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional) 1 unbaked pastry shell
Cream butter and sugar; beat in flour and cornmeal. Add eggs, milk, vanilla and lemon juice. Beat well. Pour into pastry shell.
Bake at 350° F. for 55 to 60 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
