This is my favorite way of using the ramen noodles in a salad. It is almost too good to be true as it takes very little time to prepare.

Cabbage Salad

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 head cabbage 2 pkg ramen noodles, any flavor 3 green onions,chopped 4 ounces sesame seeds 4 ounces slivered almonds, toasted -- 3/4 inch thick 3/4 cup vegetable or olive oil 1/3 cup vinegar 1/2 cup sugarDirections
Shred cabbage and place in large bowl with browned almonds and sesame seeds. DO NOT COOK NOODLES! Reserve spice packets from noodles for dressing. Break ramen noodles into small pieces and add to cabbage minture. Mix. (do this at last minute)
Dressing
Mix the spice packets from the noodles with the onions, oil, vinegar and sugar. Shake or stir until well blended. Pour dressing over cabbage and noodles. Mix well. Allow to sit a few minutes and mix again just before serving.
