Julie, how I make tuna salad is first I drain all the liquid from the can by squeezing the top against the tuna in the can until no liquid is left. I use 2 hard boiled eggs for each can of tuna and mash them with a fork. Pickle relish to taste, celery flakes, and Miracle Whip to just moisten. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of honey dill mustard to it also. I always buy water packed tuna. Used to use diced celery but found that makes the salad watery after sitting in the fridge overnight, so that is how I came up with the celery flakes.
