GEORGE WASHINGTON CAKE

2 cup plain flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup oil
2 beaten eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
whipped topping
Cherry pie filling -- extraSift all dry ingredients together.
Mix oil, eggs and vanilla; add to dry ingredients.
Stir in (by hand) cherry pie filling, pecans and chocolate chips.
Turn into greased and floured Bundt pan.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 325° F.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out.
Top with whipped topping, then top with cherry pie filling.
Top again with more whipped topping.
