Title: Recipe(tried): Spelt Bread in a Bread Machine Posted By: Pat--Whiby, Canada Date: August 21st 2000 In Reply to: BREAD MACHINE ...RECEIPE WITH SPELT FLOU Board: A Board for Bakers - Baking and Breadmaking Re:Spelt bread in a Bread Machine--this recipe is for white or Sifted Spelt flour and is as follows 1 cup water 1/2 cup milk(I use rice milk due to allergy, but any milk should be fine) 2 tablespoons margarine or butter 4 table spoons honey (for a more whole spelt taste you can try 2 tbsp honey and 2 tbsp molasses 2 teaspoons salt 5 cups white/sifted spelt flour 1 3/4 teaspoons breadmaker yeast This will yeild a 2 pound loaf that is yummy!!--sometimes for no apparant reason, things don't work out, but keep trying and adjusting one thing at a time and you'll have a lovely loaf of spelt!!
