Cooking meat in a crockpot couldn't be easier . . . or tastier. I would first brown your pork loin roast in a little fat in a skillet. Then transfer the meat to your slow cooker and use spices your family likes. I like poultry seasoning with pork, thyme and lemon pepper. And then just let it cook. How long depends on how big the hunk of meat and whether you want it so tender the meat shreds or not quite so much for slicing. Then use the juices for gravy, if desired.
