This might be what you're looking for. It's a family favorite of ours, just as good on hot dogs as it is on pasta.Cincinnati Chili

Boil 2 lbs ground beef in 2 quarts water until done, drain well. Add:
1 large can tomato juice
4 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
5 bay leaves
1 large onion, finely chopped

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
