1lb. peeled crawfish tails or peeled shrimp
1 stick butter
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
7 Tablespoons paprika
3 cups water
flour
melt butter and add enough flour to soak up most of butter. Stir until smooth, add onion and garlic. Saute for about 5 minutes add water, salt and pepper to taste and paprika. Simmer for about 15 minutes....add crawfish or shrimp and simmer for 20 minutes. You might need to adjust water...sauce should be fairly thick and can be served over fish, steak or rice.
