But can you clarify the difference between the recipes for white and brown lotus paste? I have made brown lotus paste before. My method is exactly the same as your recipe but I used the usual lotus seeds (lian zi). Q1: Do you mean that the methods for both the brown and white lotus paste is the same except that they used different types of lotus seeds? Q2: Is "seong lin" the type of lotus seed that will give you white and not brown lotus paste? Please tell me more about this seed. Thank you.
